Perpetual immaturity in some American women. Thank God it’s only some.

The weirdness of our baby rabid culture is past weirdness. Read on:

Adult Women Play House With Fake Babies

Fri January 02, 2009 - WASHINGTON

from ABC 7 News

Many people like to stop and play with newborn babies, but now some adult women are playing house with fake babies.

Some women are even going as far as taking day trips with the fake babies to the park, out to eat, and even hosting birthday parties for them.

Forty-nine-year-old Linda is married with no children of her own. Now, she says she feels like a mother because she has Reborns — dolls made to look and feel like the real thing.

“It’s not a crazy habit, like, you know, drinking, or some sort of, something that’s going to hurt you. It’s like a hobby and it doesn’t really hurt anybody,” Linda said.

These women are paying big bucks for this hobby, from $100 to a few thousand dollars. For Reborn owner Lachelle Moore, the fake babies fill a void.

“What’s so wonderful about Reborns is that, um, they’re forever babies,” said Moore, who has grown children and grandchildren. “There’s no college tuition, no dirty diapers… just the good part of motherhood,” she added.

In her Kansas City home, Moore even has an elaborate room for the dolls. She organizes birthday parties, bakes a cake and even invites guests.

Psychologists say there could be a problem if and when these women stop interacting socially with others in their life.

……………………………………………….

For the record, I voted B for “Messed up.” Grown “adult” women giving care to plastic dolls is not normal by any stretch - this is what little girls do. If a woman wants to give care, I suggest she do some volunteer work at a home for disabled war veterans. I love the last sentence in the article regarding the possible increase of anti-social behavior. Wait a minute, conversing with a doll and treating a doll as a buddy is already anti-social for adults. This doesn’t come anywhere near a hobby. If only these poor misguided women would get a life of their own and made a decent contribution to the world - it doesn’t have to be anything fancy like finding a cure for cancer - but it’d still be better than playing with dolls. I especially love the “good part of motherhood” that Moore said. This already tells me far too many people have no business breeding like animals. Got a void to fill? Take a college course, clean the house, take up tap dancing. Being a fruitcake doesn’t let one off the hook on trying to get a real life of some kind. Maybe these women like being looked down upon as being weird, because they sure as hell are not normal.

Our society will be so much better off once this nonsense of “realistic dolls” gets thrown out in the incinerator. The other nations must be laughing their asses off at the perpetual immaturity of American baby infested cultures. With the exception of maybe the UK and Australia, where baby rabies has taken over there, too. Maybe one day the Earthlings on this planet will grow up. The Martians wouldn’t be caught dead wasting their time on the sort of nonsense some Earthlings engage in.
